Betty (Umphlett) Gray

Betty Umphlett Gray, 62, of Plymouth passed from this life to her life in heaven on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Carrolton of Plymouth.

Born October 6, 1960, in Chowan County, she was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn Umphlett. Betty had a love like none other for her family, friends and especially her grands. Her love for her Lord and Savior was unwavering. Betty was a member of the Plymouth Church of God.    

Her family includes her daughter, Kathy Ambrose Cook and husband Greg, Jr. of Plymouth, North Carolina; son, Martin Ambrose and wife Colleen of Thomas, Georgia; brothers, William Umphlett, Jr. of Edenton, North Carolina; Thomas Umphlett of Claxton, Georgia; sisters, Joyce Harrell of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Diana Hassell of Columbia, North Carolina; one brother, Richard Umphlett of Edenton, NC preceded her in death.  Also left to cherish her precious memories are her 6 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
